How we approach book illustration

Illustrated books are planned page by page. We start with character sketches and a storyboard of every spread, agree on the style with you, and then produce finished artwork at print resolution, with text placement designed alongside the art.

Every project is handled by a dedicated project manager, priced in writing before work begins, and delivered with you owning everything we produce.

Book Illustration questions

How many illustrations does a picture book need?

A standard 32-page picture book usually has 14 to 16 full spreads plus a cover.

Can I choose the art style?

Yes. We show you style samples first, and the character sketches confirm the look before final art begins.

Do you also write children's books?
